Refreshing.
To hear someone with faith in the honest of oil companies. Or any of the multi-nationals. I haven't for a while.
We have experience with Enron, WorldCom, Global Crossing, Halliburton and the like inflating earnings, hiding liabilities and generally bilking investors.
I can see where that would cause someone to suspect that maybe in the oil business if one company has found a way to inflate the stock prices simply by making unverifiable claims then the others have also, and might even say they HAD to do that in a competitive world.
I also think it was conjecture on his part, but it seems more reasonable to me than simply trusting those folks to be accurate.
