Space/Science » in reply to Space-time expansion...

Thanks

...for example because the Universe has expanded since the Big Bang, the most distant galaxy recently discovered at red-shift z = 10 is now 31.5 billion light years away even though light from it has taken a mere 13.2 billion years to get here.

Ive tried to make this point* twice and each time I was told I was full of crap.

Thanks Adam

*If the object was 13 billion light years away when the light left it, then it has continued to travel outward for another 13billion years from the point we see now.
Interesting to see that the expansion of space has pushed it farther than its speed allows.
