When a supposed objective news and information website has pretty much signed up to shill for a particular political party, that would be the pejorative use of "buttmonkey."

If you have a good application of the word "buttmonkey," I probably don't want to hear about it. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course.

By the way, Mr. Vocabulary, you misspelled "pejorative."
