re: This is currently 2004 not 2000

"When's the last time he talked about his great "Aid Initiative" of last year? Space his this years "thing" with him, nothing more."

On CSPAN yesterday. He was meeting with Iraq and Aghan women. His wife gave a speech then he followed with his speech. It was at WH, Powell and others senior officals were attending [gives idea of importance]. Bush mainly talked about women right issues and fighting aganist terrorism. How he said women issues as key to forming and having democracies. He also mentioned his Aid Initiative. [But no mention of Space issues- hard to tie that issue in especially to people who can barely understand democracy and America culture in general]. The Aid Initiative is also [as far as I know] fully funded and is proceeding as fast as they can set it up- [I saw congressional meeting several weeks ago concerning how money is being spend and what they will need etc-they want it organized enough so they aren't wasting dollar by merely throwing huge chunks of money at it].
And as Bush said in this speech, we don't talk about it as much as do something about it.
As far as Space. Bush gets people who can do a job, then lets them do their job. The ball is still in the Commision's court. Once the commission is done it's job, then we'll see if Bush carries through with their plan.
