Al Queda didn't attack Madrid because Spain supported the Iraq war.

They attacked Madrid first because Spain supported the war.

Crazy religious extremists, be they crazy muslim Al Queda, or crazy Jewish settlers in the West Bank, or crazy Christians killing people in Northern Ireland, or the former Yugoslavia, or crazy Hindus killing people in India or Kashmire, never need an excuse for their actions.
