Ya, well, whatever you say. I guess.
I wonder how many galaxies have been observed, and how uniform the 3 per century is. I'd also wonder about what type they are, and how old.
Now, I'm sure the people who are puzzled have done that, and think the Milky Way falls into that model. They don't need me to critique their methods.
I have to agree with phil - time to go back and re-figure what causes them, and how the pre-cursors may be different across space and time.
But it sure is interesting, isn't it?
