Why should he?
As much as we space enthusists would like to believe otherwise, space exploration isn't a big passion with most of the electorate. No US president or party nominee has ever made space exploration even a minor issue in his campaign.
Gary and I had a small discussion on this topic last week. Quite frankly, it wouldn't surprise me if Bush never mentions space again, win or lose this November.
