Any other UK people heading to this thing. I'm only 3 miles away so I've bunged a few questions their way before hand, two of which have been accepted.
The panel will include Prof David Southwood - so should be a good event.
The two q's I've had accepted and will thus be asking on the night are..
"Does spiraling spending on manned space-flight strangle the budgets of those attempting to do real space science using robotic craft?"
and
"What do the panel believe President Bush had in mind when announcing his recent plans for NASA, political diversion or science and exploration?"
I had others going off on one about the UK's space budget being a disgracefull embarassment (approx £1 - £2 per person per year, comapred to around £30 per person per year in the USA ) and the ISS being a big bloody mess - but those are the two that got accepted :D
I'll post with news of the event on my MER forum when afterwards.
