Ahother reference from a source that doesn't have quite as big a political axe to grind. These are casualties of the war itself, not the aftermath.
It is ridiculous to count the casualties incurred by terrorists and insurgents as being the fault of the United States. I'm printing out the chart, and will break it down a bit to tally the casualties and their causes after the end of major combat (May 1st and on). I'm interested to see how it comes out.
Now, if I can introduce my own "source with an axe to grind:" Lives saved by the ouster of Saddam and Sons.
