Very interesting story from NBC News tonight. They showed video footage from a Predator UAV of a very tall man in white robes in a known bin Laden hangout. Nothing happened. You see, this was a year before 9-11 and Clinton was in the White House. He wanted to arrest bin Laden, so the opportunity was lost. A year later, some 3000 people died. That's what happens when you treat terrorism as a law enforcement effort, the way John Kerry wants to do.

One Clinton Cabinet official said, looking back, the military should have been more involved, “We did a lot, but we did not see the gathering storm that was out there.”

Wednesday: What more could the Bush administration have done to get bin Laden?

There, I knew they'd find a way to blame it on Bush. Good old NBC - as predictable as the sunrise.
