It is my understanding...
It is my understanding that the meterorites in question were igneous in origin with hydrothermal alteration products within fractures.
So, there was a basalt flow whose heat caused a hydrothermal cell to develop which altered the rock along fractures, within which possible bacterial activity occured. It's not a sedimentary rock but it may contain fossil bacteria. Nothing more advanced than bacteria, though.
