While I think it may be a stretch to equate best buds Scalia and Cheney with NOW co-sponsoring an event, it does give at least an appearance of impropriety.
And that should be enough.
(At some point you have to draw a line, otherwise no Justice could sit on any case, or else be a social outcast)
