"My first impulse was not even to discuss it without another more-rational-sounding source. But as you are fond of saying, fine, have it your way."
t r u t h o u t is not what I would call rational. Extreme Left wing is what I would call it.
Subtract your polemic cheap shot, and that is exactly what I said. Pay attention.
"OK, assuming every word in the piece is verbatim, you completely misrepresent what's there."
Assuming it's verbatim, one must first ask why, we are getting this from such a unreliable source.
I don't know how to assume something is true, but unreliable. I don't see the value in trying. This is nutty.
Why are all these *news people* there and at same time are not reporting the event. If it's verbatim, one is only left with one possiblity, they weren't doing work- it was on personal time.
So you say. Not supported by the piece, unless I missed something. Have you looked for published articals that were based on info from this Q&A?
"They did not tell Kerry what to do to be elected."
Why do you think news persons are going tell a professional politican with decades of experience how to be a politican?
Show me the part where news persons are telling Kerry how to be a politician. Are we talking about the same piece?
Whatever. But you missing the whole freaking point- these news people aren't being news people instead they are supporting a Dem or the Dem party.
What is the difference between the press asking Kerry tough questions and the press asking Bush tough questions? I really don't get this. Please help me with it.
Now, there is nothing illegal about this, but you should see that this means that these media have a definite bias.
I don't see that this Q&A means anything of the kind. I know that a few of these folks are what might be termed "liberal commentators", so their bias is a given. Some are not "liberal commentators", but you have not made a case that their presence implies bias. Most reporters would jump at a chance for some up close and personal time with a presidential candidate -- regardless of affilliation. Also dare the reporters to ask the hardest, worst, nastiest things they can think of, and what reporter would refuse? Not refusing implies bias???
If Bush asked me to come and ask him tough questions (drooling at that thought!), I would do so. Does that make me a Republican lackey???
Yours is down-the-rabbit-hole logic.
You know, that thing which is called the "liberal bias" in the major media- that the crazy conservatives are simply imagining. This also explains why you didn't get a story in the media- it interferes with their message that they are providing "objective" and non-partisan news.
Let me put in another way, the Liberals have such dominating monopoly on the media, that would make Bill Gates jealous- if only he had such a monopoly on operating software!
I hear you. I don't have the perserverence to show you lists of all the things the press has let the Bush admin and the Republican congress get away with. You would want to argue each point in detail, and blah blah blah. Don't you ever get tired of this stuff?
