Well it all makes sense to me, that in the retreat of an ice age, civilizations all over the world would've become unsettled in areas reclaimed by the melting ice. The particular event I was referencing, the Black Sea flooding, seems to have been documented by many tribes long before the Old Testament Biblical flood was supposed to have happened with many parallels to the Noah's Ark story.
All in all though I feel that if the God's wrath story has any truth to it, it was unfairly balanced to spare the sea creatures. Not quite sure how an Earthwide flood would've been seen as a threat by them. In addition, why in the world did Noah bring mosquitos aboard. Into a bit of S & M?
