Gasbrained? I think Annan's got it right.

Did the D-Day reference go completely over your head? The Normandy campaign alone cost over 14,000 French civilian lives. Some certainly died from Allied artillery and bullets. I don't even want to go into how many German civilians died tearing Hitler loose from Germany. Should we never have done anything for that reason?
