Beryllium Oxide, the gemstone Beryl is non toxic

I'll check on that, but I think its the Beryllium metal thats poisonous, while the oxide Beryl, is highly resistant to acid, and would be no more carcinogenic or toxic than other mineral fibers, me thinks. Still I suppose you might have to work with the metal as well, which could be hack hack, troublesome.
