I'm not taking the bet, yet, I'll need to take a closer look at it with stereo pairs. I'd also like to see some shots at different times during the Sol to check out shadow play. As the PanCams come in we should get a higher rez look at it.

Now, just so I know exactly where you are looking, can you tell me the azmiuth based upon the navcam panorama from this site? I'm assuming it's the cliff at 90 degrees, on the left hand side.

There might be some deep fissures, eroded joints, etc.; but, I'm not sure about a cave.

What would be the definition of a cave? Big enough to crawl into? A spider hole? Or would it have to go some distance back into the cliff? How would this bet be confirmed or not? Especially if Oppy doesn't get close to it?

I don't do money bets, but I might take a "gentlemens' bet". Lemme look at some better photos, I'll get back to you.
