Lots of Iranians from the Shah's era despise folks like bin Laden. If she was different, she'd have remained in Iran.
On a more frivolous note, as she mentions being a lifelong fan of Star Trek, doesn't she look rather similar to Counselor Deanna Troi? I'm glad space has finally interested a high tech. FEMALE entrepreneur.
Back to a serious topic, though. She mentioned having had a hard time getting adequate security clearances due to her Iranian citizenship. As I had an Iranian roommate at military boarding school during the Carter presidency, I can attest to how much of our unpleasant relations may have been avoided if it weren't for U.S. petro-greed and the like. It's interesting how her own (justifiable) disapproval of governments has fueled her desire for an ALTERNATIVE means of developing cheaper access to space: competitive prizes. Kudos to her, and to George Mason U. and George Washington U. for cultivating her.
