going into Endurance?
At the news briefing Thursday Steve Squyres said if they do decide to go into Endurance crater they will first go back out into the planes and investigate some interesting sites, including the heat shield, before returning to Endurance and attempting a drive into it. The thinking of course is if Opportunity gets stuck in the crater, they will at least have done all the exploring in the vicinity that they wanted. Endurance may well be the last resting place of Opportunity.
