The problem is that Americans will be killed and/or captured and tortured as the result of these crimes, and it won't be the perps or their leadership. It won't be the people who created the climate, Cheney/bush, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld, or Myers, the willing underling, or Kimmitt, without whom none of this could have happened.

It will be innocent folks, caught up in events beyond their control.

And that's the tragedy.
