but you would be better off just saying you have a degree from a State University. I have hired a lot of people at some big companies and we normally never checked academic credentials for middle management and below.

A degree from some obscure school would set off alarms while an undergraduate degree from State U is just taken for granted.

Then there was George O'Leary who lost his 7 figure coaching job with Notre Dame because his resume included an unearned Masters degree that had been there for 20 years. They would have hired him without it but fired him for the lie. In the end honesty is the best policy.
