God, this is hard sometimes.
The point is that the attitude of the Iraqis
- regardless of what that attitude "is" or "is not"
- has, according to the data given in the CNN poll
- been generated by their exposure to anti-coalition propaganda, generated by sources that have demonstrated their penchant for fabricating news
- and not by any personal experiences with coalition forces.
The implication of Bowser's post is that the negative attitude of Iraqis is due to things that the coalition forces have actually been doing. In fact, it's more likely due to things the Iraqis have seen on al-Jazeera, read in local newspapers, or heard from Cousin Ali.
This is significant. Both in Iraq, and in this country. Take it or leave it.
Yes, I take posts and expand on them to try and pull the real meaning out of the situation. It's called thinking. If there are those here who want to keep things on a "Fire BAD!" perceptual level, fine. Take it up with them.
Sorry if I "changed the subject." If you want someone who will just nod his head like a bobble-head doll and keep everything on one tier, look for someone else.
