Hopefully Graner gets court martialed and does 10-20 years in prison. Sounds like it would be just up his alley (pun). We'll have to wait for HIS testimony, to see if he had permission from higher authorities.
Frankly, I am appalled by the constant streams of hatred, revenge, torture and killing in this "pre-emptive" war. Both sides are trying to out do one another and there is no end in sight. Why even Arafat told the Palestinians to "Bring it on!" <here> I am ashamed of those in the human race who see violence as the only answer to violence. Our planet is quickly spiraling into an abyss. 9/11 was horrific, but not without warning. Bin Laden had been upset for years about our presence in Saudi Arabia, his holy ground. And he had been involved in eradicating the world's heroin supply line (his "war on drugs"). Well, you don't mess with CIA assets, just ask Noriega. The fate of the planet at this time is in the hands of those who hold this unholy power and the money from where it springs. It is all illegal, it is all seamy, and it will soon be the downfall of humankind. There is no one on earth that can stop this deadly spiral. Both sides want their holy war and feel vindicated. And even if this doesn't get to the nuclear strikes, we will be living with "terrorism" and "wars and rumors of wars" for a very long time.
