This is not a "Cops" show. This is a war.

It would be wonderful if you could drop into the fortified terror camps of Afghanistan, or the bunkers of Saddam, "arrest" the bad guys and haul them out of there with no damage to anyone or anything else, and put them on trial with Johnnie Cochran mugging for the cameras.

I'd love to see how you would manage this.

Maybe in fifty years our military tech will be up to that sort of thing. Right now it takes a war.

Now, if you are talking tracking down and hauling in terror cells in Europe or America, that's another story. A lot of good work has been done in this area on the part of American, European, and Asian security organizations. But unless you get at the source, and nations that support terror, it will never end.

There is a lot left to do in that regard, and Iraq isn't going to be the end of the job by any means.
