...is that we have Rumsfeld to blame for igniting a controversy that has ruined American credibility throughout the world. And still Mr. Bush won't hold him accountible. They are running amok in Washington these days.

Wasn't Rmsfeld who said this about those mythical Iraqi WMDs: "He has them. We know where they are." We later learned that not only did we not "know where they are," but the "he" didn't have them at all.

In the meantime, 783 American soldiers have died in pursuit of weapons of mass destruction that did not exist. And, the prisoner scandal Mr. Rumsfeld created will likely inflame Iraqi passions to ever more violence.

Its a friggin' quagmire and it gets worse every day.
