In almost every piece of coverage of a conflict like this, the Palestinian report is taken as gospel, and Israel assumed to be monsters. I don't know why some people find this worldview appealing.
I have been reading other reports on this. I'm waiting to see even more.
For just one example, this is the IDF report on the issue, (admittedly still incomplete, and the link is erratic.) Of course, some people--the same ones who assume the Palestinian leadership will never lie--will automatically assume that the Israelis are lying. I can't work with that kind of mindset.
I am basing my views and standards of proof--both in this area and in Iraq--on standards of behavior and credibility that have been demonstrated for a long time by all parties concerned. I find it far more likely, although I am waiting for further evidence, that this incident is being twisted by the Palestinians, than by the Israelis.
I have background for this view. Remember the Great Massacre of Jenin? How this lie ran for weeks before being debunked?
Both the terrorists in the Middle East and the terrorists in Iraq know how to play media bias like a fine instrument.
Wait for it.
