I spent about an hour in the back of a Hercules with a bunch of fellow air cadets.
the Herc was doing circuits - take-off, circle, land, repeat till sick.
I loved it, but I saw a lot of green faces as they watched me eat a bar of chocolate. No-one wanted a piece.
In the cockpit was an RAF grunt who had zero blood left in his skin and two full barf bags by his side. He was only there to log in-air hours.
I think he would rather have been wrestling alligators.
With both hands tied behind his back.
Blindfolded.
