Well? We've waited almost 7 years...and at last, Cassini is now crossed the L-point between the Sun and Saturn.
When I first started posting on BBS, almost 7 years ago,
the Cassini spacecraft was still on this planet.
Now almost 7 years later, Cassini has finally fallen into
the gravitational dominance of the planet Saturn [on May/18].
And starting on May/24th, the Cassini-spacecraft
team will start to dramatically increase the imagery
and science-data output of the spacecraft.
The moment is finally arriving!...
Just goes to show, patience is a virtue.
Thinking back 7 years, I recall that Raoul, Tom, Larry, Alcaray,
Nathan, Justin, etc., were still debating the results from
Mars Pathfinder, the shuttle missions, and worrying if Cassini was ever going to get launched on time.
My oh my!....A lot has happened in 7 years in space.
Just reminiscing....
