Advice requested : ftp
I'm about to begin assisting with the website maintenance of a monthly online lit zine... for which I will need to use ftp.
I've got nothing on my system now that'll handle it. The person I'll be assisting has sent me to WS_FTP Pro from Ipswitch, but of course I'm curious if there's something better for the same price, or something serviceable for cheaper... like, free?
Also... any tips for configuring Norton Pers' FW so it doesn't interfere with ftp tranfers? I've heard rumors it can be a bear.
