We had a 50 foot maple in the back yard. It blocked most of the south western sky. Since I still haven't bought a new scope yet, It didn't bother me.
My wife hated it because she didn't like the late afternoon shade. We "argued" about having it cut down mostly because I didn't want to pay the $100.(I wasn't going to do it , it could have fallen on the house)
The tree is now gone, there is much better visibility, and my wife is very happy and out $100
(Wonder if she knows the deck she's building in the backyard is going to be a telescope platform?)
