I fail to see how my comment is "smug".
I mention several times how I had trouble believing the polling results myself. I can't help it if it was for a different reason, one that didn't involve a conspiracy.
As for the alternate universe where Mitt Romney won, I would not be hanging around here calling attention to myself. On the contrary, I would be making myself as scarce as possible, or trying desperately to change the subject, not making an ass of myself by refusing to accept what happened and trying to rewrite history about it. Besides, wasn't it the Democrats who were supposedly "getting the excuses ready in case they lose?"
The election is over. It is the metaphorical Monday Morning. The next Presidential contest won't be for another FOUR MORE YEARS.
