I helped an older friend get and set up his computer. Outlook Express looked as if it were the easiest, so we went with it.

It filters out a lot of the attachments sent by old service buddies or business partners, and I'll be darned if I can figure out how it does that, or correct it.

I suspect your Netscape had more efficient filters than OE, but for him the filters are too exclusive. And hard to get at. Just had a thought, I'll check "Message Rules".

BTW, I avoid OE just because it is the target of so many viruses. I have it but purchased the fancy version of Eudora. So far I'm delighted.

And I changed my address to get rid of spam, worked like a charm. So far.
