Too silly
"Atlantis" was a figment of Plato's fertile imagination. He told the story of Atlantis in his two morality pieces about utopian societies "Timaeus" and "Critias." It is from these two fictional stories that the tale of Atlantis first appears in history. There is not one stick of evidence that Atlantis ever really existed.
Its disappointing to see a "science" writer for the BBC fall for this claptrap. Its entirely possible that Mr. Kuehne has found some interesting archaeology. But there is no reason whatsoever to believe its "Atlantis." Here is a lovely piece on the subject:
