re: Venus transit surprises!
Well, Steve, what a day! And a truly sunny day!
First contact from home, using the laptop and later the Mavica on the eyepiece.
Then at noon, I was next to our building (Insurance Company Fortis AG) to show it to colleagues!
Many were present.
When it was over, I joined Daniel and Roland, amateur astronomer friends, who were doing the same thing for their colleagues at another insurance company and we had lunch together.
Glorious day! Too bad several of my colleagues didn't get downstairs and some of my pictures were out of focus. But, it was a great event for those who took part to it.
