Bad Astronomy: Edmund Halley 'saw' the transit of Venus in 1716.
No he didn't. So there!
But, with all due respect to Sir Edmund Halley thefamous astronomer,
what he may have seen in 1716 was not the transit of Venus.

Yahoo.com news 'journalists' got it wrong.
