re: Cryptic spam
I put my inbox on exclusive. Only email from addresses that I've specifically named are allowed through. Everything else gets dumped into junk. My junkmail folder has the convenient "empty" button, so after I quickly skim for email that should have gone into my inbox, I click it. Listing friendly email addreses is alot easier than programming a filter, and clicking one button to erase all the spam is just icing on the cake.
