Looking at what Christianity as mis-interpreted by professed "Christians" is doing to the world and US,

remembering the commitment of the US to diversity,

recognizing that there are many non-Christian religions, and

realizing that many "Christian" sects don't get along with each other,

it's probably best if the cops aren't waving the cross too.

I mean, it sure doesn't seem as if the cross contributes anything to the process.

It's bad enough with Ashcroft trying his damnedest to make over the us into his narrow, fundamental Protestant view of the world. Don't need the LA police proseltyzing.

As a matter of fact, I'm surprised, the way those cops have acted, that Christian sects aren't demanding the cross be left off the cars.
