re: Sol 155: five days ahead of schedule, the rover Spirit finally reaches the Columbia Hills.
Well....at least the rover Spirit will be able to examine those big boulders dislodged
from the cliffs and high ground above using its full suite of instruments.
And the earlier Navcam images of those same hills clearly reveal rock layers
near the base of the hills which will be accessible.
All in all, it will be a busy time for geologists for the next few months at least.
Still...it would be nice for the rover Spirit to haul itself upto the very top of those hills
to obtain the mother of all panoramas.
