Space/Science » in reply to NASA: Phoebe Fly-By Perfect, Pictures 'Later Today'

It was traveling at a relative speed of 20,900 kilometers per hour relative to Saturn.

Interesting question to try to explain to a kid.

How fast is Cassini going?

Relative to Phoebe? Saturn? Earth?

And how much of Cassini's speed is actually Phoebe's, or Saturn's, or Earth's?

Rocket science may be rocket science after all.
