Most, or all of weight of the bike will be on the back back tire going up hill. .
Apparently the rovers weigh only 140 lbs. on Mars. Oppy's weight is spread out over the six wheels which look like they were design to dig into sand- not rock
(I'm not saying they don't know what their doing. When it comes to public interest, a little drama can't hurt ;)
