Most cars on the road only carry one person anyway. Alot of people choose SUVs for it's height above the road, for visibility in traffic, and a sense of safety. This car can also swivel it's wheels for tight parking spots and has a head-up display. It probably gets better fuel economy too. Neat-O.

TOYOTA PM-01 CONCEPT CAR: A Thai model tries out a Toyota PM-01 Concept Car during the press preview of the 25th Bangkok International Motor Show in Bangkok on March 25, 2004.
PM-01 is a `personal mobility' vehicle with artificial intelligence. It can raise or lower itself depending upon the driving conditions. Its wheels can turn in opposite directions and do so independently to allow for parking in narrow spots.
The PM is a single-person vehicle that targets driver-vehicle unity and offers advanced vehicle-to-vehicle communication. There are `instant message' capabilities so more than one PM can `speak' to others. PMs can share information as they travel, follow a leader in platoon formation and rendezvous automatically.
It's antennae-like headlamps contribute to the image of an exotic life form. A floating virtual display senses driver finger position and shows vehicle data, locations of other PMs and other information.
The Bangkok International Motor Show is the biggest annual auto show in southeast Asia and is held from March 26 to April 4, 2004.
