If we're talking about someone whose policies kept us in economic stagnation for ten years, and whose major legacy today consists mostly of a myth pushed by starry-eyed socialists. Obama's only got four years of stagnation so far, although I admit the unemployment rate to date is less than FDR's was. How's Obama going to get us out of this? Have the U.S. enter WWIII?
When I talk to people about FDR's actual economic record, the usual response is what I've been hearing about Obama's: "Well, it would have been worse otherwise."
There's a motto for the Shining City on the Hill. "It could be worse."
