Valley of the Megaspheres - The Beaches of Meridiana
I think this zone is the transition to shallower water sediments. On the lower right, laminar sediments like at Eagle (but with some distinct cross bedding). On the upper left, darker layered sediments with a large concentration of spheres - the lower beach, with drifted accumulations of spheres. Some of the spheres here seem to be quite large. Another image that is similar, and clearly shows cross bedding.
