Orphan Threads

I don't worry about orphan threads. Often they are a self-contained post which points to a report or makes a useful statement to which there is no need to reply.

My complaint was about posters who build their own threads with multiple replies to themselves, either because they were wrong and are correcting/refining themselves or because they're so excited they've forgotten the normal rules of conversation.

In normal society, talking to yourself is seen as a sign of problems.

So with posting:- Use an editor, compose the document, read it and consider whether it's complete. Only then, press the "post" button...

Log in or register to post.
