Look at just some of the numbers:

- Obama: unemployment above 8 percent for 43 months. According to the BLS, the combined total of months above 8 percent between 1948 and 2008 is 39.

- Deficits higher than a trillion dollars for four straight years.

- More added to the debt in four years than Bush added in eight.

- No change in collapsing entitlements, and no viable plan for one.

- No change in tax rates. Extended the Bush rates until past the election, claiming increased taxes would hurt the economy.

- 1 in 5 Americans on Medicaid.

- 47.1 million Americans on food stamps. This number was released November 9. The normal deadline was the end of October.

- Gasoline prices at an all-time record (adjusted for inflation).

And yet people who seemed confident Romney could win are being treated as idiots. Go figure.

Anyone about to pipe up about "inherited" can save it. I've heard it. On the radio a few days ago, a liberal was blaming the California economy on governor Pete Wilson. Who left office in 1998.

This is a much deeper problem than politics.
