re: Hundreds of exoplanets
This is a major boost for continuing post haste with the Kepler program which hopefully will fly sometime before the end of the decade. Kepler has the potential of detecting EARTH sized 'terrestrial' planets in liquid water zone orbits, something about which we have ZERO evidence so far.
