In reality, the "Bully Pulpit"............
Has great effect over the economy. Bush has primed the pumps to the max, engaged in a war economy with massive deficits, created a humongous debt used huge amounts of political capital and removed 150,000 men from the labor market to get our economy leveraged into the position it is in right now.
The arguement is whether it is sustainable or not? Then the question becomes what happens when the troops come home? Will they be allowed to come home, or will they be kept away until your kids can be drafted and replace them?
