Verhofstadt (just like De Haene several years ago) had been vetoed by the UK, because Belgian Prime-Ministers support a federal Europe, which the UK doesn't want.
Of course, journalists talk about Belgium siding with the axis of weasel but not the ministers who know very well that war is very unpopular all over Europe.
