re: 396 pounds of ballast?
200lbs per person is quite conservative if you consider a flight suit, helmet, O2 mask, perhaps a parachute, two seats, etc etc etc...
And yes - you can use Ballast if you wish - I'd imagine that the next flight will be Ballasted as they've not had a perfect 100k flight yet - but thereafter, no reason to suspect it wont be Burt and someone else on board for the follow on flight
