In the summer of 98, I met Antoine Labeyrie director of the Observatoire de Haute Provence.
He's got lots of ideas!
One of them is called Carlina.
A one km wide field of mirrors, reflecting light on an attached balloon....Kind of the optical equivalent of Arecibo's radio-
telescope.....
